Jim, when I was a kid around 10 years old in the mid 50’s and through the early 60’s I listened every week to the Oscar Brand Radio show coming out of NYC. Oscar had a similar approach to the music he played on his show, in that he made sure the songs told a story and how they evolved over time. I remember he played the Jimmy Rogers song “kisses sweeter that wine” and explained how it had developed from and old Irish folk song.
Your podcast has in many whys picked up on that fond memory for me. I am very grateful that you are doing this. I have followed your blog for many years and have played every episode. I check your CV 101 site frequently hoping for a new addition.
Congratulations to you.
Jim
